Start app at a particular location and zoom

Every time I open Windy (on iPad) it shows me half the continent and I have to zoom in and pick the location where I want the forecast, which is quite annoying. It’s a fantastic app, so it seems strange that such obvious functionality would be missing. How can I fix this so it remembers my preferences for location and zoom?

You can zoom in on your preferred location, set the map layer,etc. Then make a bookmark of that view. This will encode the precise settings you have set.

I did find that on the iPad, it doesn’t capture all the encoded setting by just making a bookmark. I needed to copy the URL and then set that as the bookmark target.
