      Good morning,

I am not dissapointed in this app.

I downloaded the standard version for the purpose to see active fires. The standard version did not impress me that much, so I bought the premium version. I honestly cannot tell a difference between the two versions.

I feel I wasted my money. Like yesterday we had a big fire in the area around Karibib, Namibia. On the Nasa and Wundermaps you could see the fires, but up untill now, your app does not show anything.

      Regards

@ksapu Hello, we are sorry to hear this. As stated, Windy Premium gives you access to 1hr forecast and more frequent model updates.

Fire intensity and Active fires are available on Windy, however it is not real-time visualization, but forecast.

Windy shows Copernicus fire monitoring data. This data is displayed in ‘near real time’ from satellite sensors as explained here:

            https://atmosphere.copernicus.eu/fire-monitoring

But the interval update of this layer is 24h.

The difference with other fire monitoring satellites systems is that Copernicus provides an estimate of fire intensity when other sources only display the presence of fires.

By keeping up with you, I will be able to better prepare myself in the event that severe weather occurs.
