I have read the work of Tiedtke (1993) for ECMWF but in GFS case I did not find anything. Thank you for your kind cooperation.</p>

For GFS, High-level is defined as above 440 mb level., low-level is defined<br />
as below 680 mb, and mid-level is in between.</p>
