Newasa My village is missing.

Hello @nklachore, we are aware of these locations around the world. However, this problem should be addressed to Open Street Map, since we use their maps and have no control over them.
Once the map is corrected on OSM, it takes some time for the changes to be reflected in the application as well.
You can read more on this here – https://community.windy.com/topic/4649/how-to-correct-errors-in-the-base-maps.
-
@nklachore Maybe it is there as "Nevasa".
-
@petra-pik What about the layers maps? It seems that they are not updating as well as the base maps.
-
Hello @ahmed-a-as, do you mean the layer 'Outdoor map'? This one also takes data from Open Street Map as map in the other layers do.
-
@petra-pik I mean the other layers maps like: wind, temperature, clouds.......and so on, these layers maps is not updating like the "Outdoor Map" layer, here is an example:
As you can see, the city's name changed since a period of time by the local authorities, but the old name is still appearing in all other layers maps except the "Outdoor Map" layer. -
@ahmed-a-as layers use the same source, so there is the same map for wind, temperature, clouds,...
As mentioned above, it takes some time for the changes to be reflected in the application (and on the website). -
@petra-pik Can you tell me how much time approximately? and why the "Outdoor Map" layer updates faster than the other layers?
-
@ahmed-a-as we don't have a concrete plan for these updates.
Having the same source, the Outdoor map is taken from our application WindyMaps so sometimes the data can be slightly different.
