Western Longitudes are displayed wrongly on uploaded route
-
Good day dear Windy Team!
After uploading the route from ECDIS *(any format: *.*gpx, .kml etc)
it happens that waypoints with western longitudes jump onto the other/neighbor projection of the chart. While the whole route is plotted fully in NE quadrant of the Earth/ with eastern longitudes - no any problem, it is displayed ok. !
Topic is very important. Could you advise on this issue? Maybe it was discussed already. Please see screens attached. Hope for soon reply. Much appreciated.!!! -
@idefix37 Done!)

This is due to a known issue on antimeridian line, if you need to cross it.
https://community.windy.com/topic/9680/route-planner-going-crazy-between-hawaii-and-marshall-islands?_=1633208477101I think the workaround is to split the trip in 2 parts, if possible.
Note you can visualise this meridian. In Settings select Show lat, lon grid -
@idefix37 Thank you! Much appreciated for swift reply.
Will try to do it and revert with answer!) -
