I'm hoping I'm missing something, but it seems that showing the 500mb Geopotental Height is somewhat clunky.

      Right now I:

      • Go to "More layers"
      • Scroll down and turn on "Geopot. height" under Display isoclines
      • Select the Wind layer.
      • Adjust the slider to show the wind at the 500mb level. The has the side effect of adjusting the Geopotential height isoclines to also be for 500mb.

Then when I'm done I need to reverse those operations.

Is there a more straightforward way to do this that I'm missing?

Hello, you can just adjust the altitude slider on the right side and click on Pressure option on the right side as well to deselect the isolines.

I fully agree with you. It is complicated to select Geopotential heights and other isolines. I had made a proposal to give a quicker access to these isolines.

I'd also very much welcome it to have the possibility to select the geopotential (at various levels) straight away.

            Thanks

That would be very key if you could select multiple levels, such as MSLP with 500MB heights, which is needed to determine advection gradient.

You are right. It would be very useful to show Geopotential heights as a colour shaded layer that could be displayed together with pressure isolines at sea level (isobars).
