Snow Depth out of synch?
-
Snow depth in Europe seems to be un-synched with real data. As mentioned in a post from 20.10.21 covered areas are marked with synthetic sharp edges and spread across the Alps in artificially rectangular shapes.

@great-dane
Data provided by global models is wrong in mountains specially for parameters linked to temperature. This is well known and it has been explained so many time here. May this post help to understand the effect of weather models resolution in mountain?
https://community.windy.com/topic/8106/huge-differences-between-models?_=1634798809757The ECMWF provides this snow depth data used by Windy with the same inaccuracy over the Alps:

For you what Windy should do? -
@great-dane Hi, this is correct model outcome, resolution in mountains is generally lower. But we will look into it and see if we can improve it.
