Ipad OS 15 - windy.com page freezes

Hi, I’ve just updated my iPad to iPad OS 15, and now windy.com page freezes up after a few seconds. It’s the same on both Chrome and Safari. A page refresh doesn’t work - you have to close the tab and open a new one. Then it works for a short while before crashing again.
Anyone else having this issue?

@henryhunter Hello, what is your iPad version? Is there any error message in the error console? We would appreciate if you could post a link to a video showing this error.

@korina Hi, it’s iPad OS 15.1. there’s no error message or anything, the whole page just freezes and stops responding to any input. I haven’t been able to replicate today so maybe something changed overnight. The IOS app is also a bit flakey, sometimes it only refreshes half the menu on the right side. I just wondered these were some artefacts from the the IOS 15 update which I moved to yesterday. If I can can get better video or screenshot I will post, thanks.

Bit it’s behaving today, hasn’t frozen once!

@henryhunter Could be an issue of your browser. Make sure you have the latest version.

@korina On iPad the browser version is updated automatically so always latest - also same freeze in Safari or Chrome so not browser specific. Unfortunately it had started freezing up on me regularly. If I switch focus to another app and come back to browser windy page is often unresponsive. No error message, and won’t reload, so have to kill tab and start again. Interested to know if any others are reporting issue with iPad OS 15.1 and Windy

@korina this crash can also be reproduced 100% by selecting cloudbase then moving slider across a couple of days, after a few moments the page freezes.

@henryhunter Hello, the release it out. We have added "Graphic compatibility mode" into the settings. Please try Windy with this mode and let us know if the issue persists.

@korina it’s working well now using that setting, thanks very much. Perhaps it would make sense for that setting to be on by default for certain configurations.

@henryhunter We just released another fix. It should not affect graphic compatibility mode, but it should fix the default mode. Could you please try to turn graphic compatibility mode off and let us know if it works properly? Thank you!

@marekd sorry, switching off compatibility mode breaks it again. It is easily replicable on my iPad Pro IPad OS 15.1 by selecting cloudbase and then moving the slider a few times. Switching compatibility mode back on, all is fine.

The page is crashing now sometimes, even with compatibility mode switched on.
