I paid the Premium life time fee but now ...
-
@flysnj Hello, this is correct, but the One time payment gives you Premium access for 1 year only with no subscription, it is not life-time access.
-
@korina Usually a one-time fee is for a permanent license, in my experience. Your one time fee for one year is about 50% more than a subscription for the same time period. How would a user benefit from buying the one year, one time, license? I see big potential for customer confusion.
You have a great product, but for my current needs, the subscription price is a bit excessive for me.
I would certainly be interested if you had a permanent license price. I understand that you may have a recurring cost for getting source data, so perhaps you could have a version where the other weather models require a subscription. -
I am confused.
It seems backwards.
It's cheaper to pay monthly?
-
@flysnj Hello, the difference is in subscription model.
The one-time purchase has no subscription, therefore you are not signing up for continuous renewal like with the cheaper option.
-
@mel-jon Hello, we do not have any monthly option. This is only a calculation how much you can save with the Annual option.
-
I paid 119.00 for a lifetime premium upgrade. It was a one time offer. I actually had the premium for a year. Now it is gone and I have no recourse to get it back.

@Korina this subscription model is indeed very confusing! I just asked Apple for a refund because I also misunderstood the concept.
-
Well I agree with the gentleman on the lifetime subscription. As I recall the cost was like 119$ or 129$ which I paid. I may go over Amex and see if can determine when that payment was made.

@mike2016
This lifetime subscription for this amount is NOT a Premium subscription on Windy.com. Windy.com has a red logo, identical to the one at the top of this page.
There is another app called Windy but with a blue logo. It has nothing to do with Windy.com and offers a lifetime Pro subscription. However, you are not on that app's forum.
