iOS widget (still) not working

I do not understand why Windy keeps ignoring the issue with iOS 14 (practically all updates). I have an iPhone SE, iOS 14.8.1, and ever since upgrading to iOS 14 the widget just won't load.
The error message reads: "We are sorry we don't support this type of widget. Please install the widget for iOS 14."
I have updated the Windy app many times (current version 33.1.1.5), including version 28.0.3 which featured, according to Windy, a "new widget for iOS 14".
Windy keeps fixating on Apple Watch and ignoring iOS issues. Is it because they've given up on iPhones because of Apple's acquisition of Dark Sky?
Does anyone have an answer?

Hello @mil0, the widget located in the left-side menu is no longer available.
We have new widgets available. These widgets can be placed on your Home screen. Here is how to place them – https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207122.
