      @apub said in Firefox and Safari not loading:

      @marekd Sure thing:
      MacBook Pro, Late 2012
      Processor 2.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
      Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR 3
      Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB
      macOS 10.15.7

      Safari 15.1 (15612.2.9.1.30, 15612)
      Firefox 94.0.2 (64-bit)

      Same here, same Mac (specs), but also Chrome isn't doing OK.
      Chrome version: 96.0.4664.93 (is up-to-date version)

        Thanks for reporting this issue. It seems your browsers cannot load our site at all. I really do not understand it, to be honest.

        @GiantSquid Could I ask you for a huge help? Could you please open empty anonymous window of Chrome, open dev tools (Cmd + Opt + I), select network tab, check "Preserve log". Then open windy.com, wait for the error and export all network communication to HAR file (see screenshot). After that, please switch to Console tab and make printscreen of the console if there were any errors.

        Both, screen shot and HAR file please send me to my mail (see your PM inbox). Do not share these files publicly here, especially HAR file contains your Windy personal private data.

        This will help me to find if the problem is network connection or javascript. At this moment I have no idea where the problem can be. Thank you so much!

          @marekd @GiantSquid And to emphasize the strangeness.. On Safari and Firefox, if I pause the loading and enter a location manually, the site will work normally. But as soon as I "reload" the page, the same error occurs. But regarding the experience of GiantSquid, Chrome, on my MacBook anyway, still loads and continues to operate normally. Strange.

              I changed the topic title, because I think the problem is MacOs Catalina, all of you (also from this topic) have this system. I will try to test it on 10.15.7. You can try to update your MacOs meanwhile I am almost sure it will help.

                @marekd Do you mean update MacOS? I don't think there is one, at least for MacBooks similar to mine..Screen Shot 2021-12-07 at 11.24.49 PM.png

                  You should be able to update to MacOS Monterey, if available for MacBook too.

                    @idefix37 Thank you. Unfortunately, I ran the software update just a short time ago. It indicates, as shown in the screenshot above, that for this MacBook, there are no updates available.

                      @apub If you open Safari developer tools (Cmd + Opt + I) on Network and Console tab (with "Preserve log" checked) and reload windy.com website, do you see any errors there?

                        It seems to be an Apple issue. Check https://robservatory.com/resolving-a-problem-repeatedly-occurred-error-in-safari/ for more info. Please, try to reinstall Safari using installer from e.g. this site: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/15675/apple-safari (because the official download link from their support does not exist: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253165554) and let me know if it solved the issue. Thanks!

                          @apub I am having the same problem as you. I have a Mac mini with Catalinia 10.15.7. Safari and Firefox both seize up. Firefox actually shuts itself down after a while. Safari is giving me the same message as above. The Brave browser actually will load but none of the overlays do anything. I tried showing radar and satellite and neither of them do anything. I'd say it's a Mac thing, not a browser thing.

                            @gregfrancis_98 If you are able to load Windy at least somehow, can you please try to turn "Graphic compatibility mode" in settings on https://www.windy.com/settings ? Does it help or the issue is still same?

                                @marekd I just completed an entire MacOS reinstall. Still getting the same error.

                                  @apub Thank you for your help. And network tab is also without errors? There will be many items, but non of them should be in red color.

                                      @apub Thank you. It loads everything client needs and without any JS error... So it has to be some rendering issue. We are working on getting 2012 MacBook and we hope it will not work even for us to be able to fix it.

                                        @apub @GiantSquid @GiantSquid Could please anyone with this issue try to open dev console on Windy page (Cmd + Opt + I, then tab "Console") and paste this line and press Enter?

                                        W.store.set('disableWebGL', true); window.location.reload();

                                        It will reload page on its own. And if this helped, it should work as expected. Thank you!

                                            My FF crashes completely when opening windy.com. Safari just shows the error that people reported earlier in this thread. I have the same problem with Google StreetView. There are numerous reports on the Internet of people having the same problem with the following setup:

                                            • MacBook Pro retina 2012
                                            • macOS Catalina 10.15.7
                                            • latest updates
                                            • Firefox 95.0 (latest) / Safari (latest)
                                              The issue seems to be related to WebGL as some tinkering with Safari WebGL settings seems to have fixed it for some people:

                                            In the Safari Menu Bar, go to Develop >> Experimental Features >> then check both WebGL 2.0 and WebGL via Metal.
                                            If Develop is not in the Safari Menu bar, go to Safari >> Preferences >> Advanced >> and tick "Show Develop menu in menu bar" down the bottom.

                                            Unfortunately I wasn't able to find any solution for the Firefox.
                                            Here is Mac Cash Info form firefox crash report:
