Local temperature reported on app

To often here in Cokeville, Wyoming, the temperature will be shown as 20 degrees f over the actual accurate in town weather station. This most happens during periods of extreme lows. At least you can click on the local sources of Cokeville & the reporting stations in the vicinity to get the true in town temperature & local area. It’s currently -4 degrees F & the windy app for Cokeville, Wyoming is showing 20 degrees F

@hunkydory-0 Hello, weather stations show measured values and those values will vary from the forecast provided by weather models. I would recommend to try all the available models in your area to find the best one for your location.

Yes there is a discrepancy between forecast and local weather station. All the models show almost the same discrepancy. On the screenshot you can notice that all weather stations at some distance from Cokeville show much higher temperatures and 5 days before models predictions were more in line with reported temperature.
So I guess this discrepancy could be due to local conditions such as stratus bringing temperature inversion.
