    Cyclone Cody to affect New Zealand

      Tropical cyclone Cody is located near 26.2S 177.0E, maximum winds are 83 km/h with higher gusts. Cody is forecasted to transition to a sub-tropical storm as it enters cold waters in the next 2 days.

      Cody can however still bring heavy rain to New Zealand's northern island from Sunday until Tuesday next week.

      Cody continues to affect Fiji with heavy rainfall and gale force winds, impacts may cause severe flooding. Maximum sustainable winds are 74 km/h.

      Cyclone should move westward and gradually lose its strength. Landfall is not expected.

      Cyclone Cody is located near 20.0S 177.0E, carrying maximum winds of 74 km/h. It has tracked south-southwestward and will drift west before turning southeast on Tuesday.

      Cody will continue to affect Fiji with damaging winds and very heavy rainfall today until it gradually moves away from the Fiji Group.

      Tropical cyclone Five, which has formed near Fiji, will attain a Category 1 cyclone status today. The system is moving east-southeastward at 20km/h.

      Forecast for the next 12 hours shows maximum winds of 64 km/h with higher guests 84 km/h. Damaging winds will increase to gale force winds during today in Western parts of Viti Levu, Kadavu, Vanua Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group.

      Strong winds and rainfall expected in the following hours may cause significant damage to houses, plants and disrupt transportation.

      Risk of landslides is also not out of the question, due to saturated soil from rainfall in the last couple of days.

        @korina Why is this system being referred to as TC Five and Cyclone Cody? Are they the same tropical disturbance TD 03F?
