I was interested in selecting multiple conditions for alerts at 2 different sites and started to play around with a few things. In the past I would get an alert now and then and the more I tried to configure different conditions - the fewer I got. So I noticed somewhere that the conditions were "AND" and not "OR" together. Not sure about most people - but I do think they want to know when any condition is meet - not when all the conditions are met.

Second I noticed that most of the posts are quite old - so I'm not sure if the alert issues will ever be addressed - but that is too bad as I think this is a great part of the WIndy app.

Third - the work around I found - but not sure if it is actually always working is to create multiple favorites around the same area - and then set a specific condition for each favorite for each area. I still haven't received all the alerts for each area es (2 conditions were set for 2 different areas) - but I did receive a single alert for each one (time will tell if it only works for a single alert within a single zip code..

I do enjoy my subscription for Windy - just wish this feature worked better.

Thanks for the information and I did add in additional neighborhoods to do what I want.

It would be great if the there was a global option to switch between AND and OR options for a site. I have a second location and would like to be notified on a consistent basis when there are issues that I should monitor - such as high winds; heavy rains, really low temperatures - where I may need to either monitor or take an action (like having the sidewalk shoveled). Right now - my experience is that I'm not getting Alerts consistently - but it may well be because of the AND conditions.

Again thanks for the response.

Yes, the Alert settings in Windy must be understood with a AND operator between the different conditions (wind, temperature, rain, snow…).
So if you don’t need a combined condition e.g. wind and temperature, you must use only one condition per alert.
And if you need several independent conditions e.g. wind or temperature, you can use a workaround by placing several alert close to your favorite location as I suggested here:
