Can’t clear notification

Got a “1” above the app icon indicating a notification or message. Can’t find the note or clear the number 1. What’s going on? Thank you. Really like the app and have gone for premium. Mike E Las Cruces NM

@n5494u Hello, I will add that you get notifications only if one of your alerts are active. You can manage favorites and alerts by clicking on your profile.

I don’t know how to clear them either.
I have looked at choices in settings. Did I miss something to clear them in the settings? -
