Would like to suggest introduction of regional factor of light and heat reduction due to volcano activity in the Southern Hemisphere.

Windy offers already the Aerosol layer which is based on light reduction by particles in the air (see Air Quality layers). It is expressed as Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) at 550 nm.
