<![CDATA[Temperature Jackson, WY]]>On Sunday at 10:25am local, Windy was reporting the Jackson, WY temperature as 20 degrees. Actual temperature was closer to zero degrees and the airport was reporting -2 degrees. Something is wrong with your data input.

Yes, it is a forecast temperature which is computed by the weather model you have selected. Observed temperature is shown in Windy at weather stations that you can display when you tick Reported temperature.

Jackson is located in a high up basin.
It is known that global weather models are not so good at forecasting temperature at this altitude (7000ft) with surrounding mountains.
The weather station at Jackson Hole airport reports a lower temperature than that predicted by the ECMWF model.

There is quite a big discrepancy.

But if you select METEOBLUE model which is a better model in mountains, you see that temperatures match quite well

METEOBLUE model is only available at point forecast, not as weather layers.
