Yes, it is a forecast temperature which is computed by the weather model you have selected. Observed temperature is shown in Windy at weather stations that you can display when you tick Reported temperature.</p>

Jackson is located in a high up basin.<br />
It is known that global weather models are not so good at forecasting temperature at this altitude (7000ft) with surrounding mountains.<br />
The weather station at Jackson Hole airport reports a lower temperature than that predicted by the ECMWF model.<br />
(Display <em>Reported temperature</em> and click the WX station to compare reported and predicted temperatures)<br />
There is quite a big discrepancy.</p>
