Zoom user interface on phone

Is the windy team looking at zoom options for phones?
I note that google maps have the facility to zoom in and out after two taps followed by an up swipe to zoom out or a down swipe to zoom in.
The double tap currently only zooms in and does not have functionality to zoom out. It would be nice to have this functionality though not a necessity.
