Windy iOS Widgets: What's new
-
@makoc We will consider it, thank you.
-
@korina Ok, thanks for info. I couldn't find it either. When you get to app for other widgets?
-
@dexxik Hello, what do you mean please? Widgets are also available for Android, but with different functions.
-
@korina I have problem with windy widget with favorite location in iOS. Windy show me tempature only in location but not in entered from application.
-
@dexxik Which widget, the radar one? If you want a favorite location to be displayed both in the app and in the Weather forecast widget, you have to set it as default in Start-up location in Settings.
-
@korina I am sorry but I cannot find the term “startup location” in the iOS app. How can I set my startup location? I noticed that if I disable location service the forecast widget uses the country with no specific location and doesn’t even show any of my 3 favorite locations.
Is it possible to set the FORECAST widget to a specific FAV location? If yes, would you please give me a step by step guide?! Thank you.

@rwahsh
Hope you found where is Settings in the app.
First step, in Settings -
@idefix37 thank you sooo much. I looked several times under settings before I asked for help but this menu item never caught my attention.

How do you add the wiget if I have an android tablet?? -
@squshy Hi. Android tablets are similar to android phones. Here is a detailed guide how to add them on samsung devices: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-are-widgets-and-how-do-i-add-them-to-my-android-smartphone-or-tablet/ (it is pretty much the same on any device with android OS)
Note that android version of windy has slightly different widgets than iOS version.
-
I know how to add a widget, but I can't find anything related to windy.
-
@squshy Can you please post your device info? Device type, android version and windy version. Thank you.

@marknagy
I didn't buy this tablet, but the model is :AGS2-W09 -
@squshy Hi. Please try the following steps described here: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/content/en-us00754152/ Search for windy widgets (there is detail, days and radar widget). You should be able to add them to your home screen. Let me know if you need more help :)

@marknagy
I searched, a weather widget appeared (it wasn't there before) I clicked on the widget but still there was nothing related to Windy. -
Sad to see you can’t have swell or wind displayed in widgets in a similar fashion to radar. This is what I’d hoped for from the beginning.
-
@nwrightau Hello, wind is displayed in widgets by default. Swell is not part of basic detailed forecast, therefore it is not included. But we can consider it for the future.

Hi, love the radar widget- fantastic work! Would love some sort of wind barb/other wind direction and strength indicator in one of the corners of the radar widget - would add great situational awareness to the radar picture. Could use the location selected as the data source, or average it depending on the zoom level. Either way, it would serve to add context and an element of prediction as to where the radar returns are moving. Thanks for all your continued hard work!

My iphone uses IOS14.4,but cannot find the widget when i tap on the "+" symbol.has it been removed?
