Windy iOS Widgets: What's new
-
@korina Got it. Thanks
-
@korina hi I have iPhone 13, iOS 15.1 installed and the windy widget is working but I have a major issue.
I have several favorite locations setup but the Windy Widget only shows current location.
Is there a way to set the widget to show one of my favorite locations? If yes, then how? Also, that particular location is not a name but a latitude, longitude coordinate. -
@rwahsh Hello, if you want the radar widget or forecast widget to show a particular location, you can can select it in the app in Start-up location from your favorites. Radar widget have an option to select any location in its settings.
-
Can we get more zoom please? Seems the highest level is still ~1000km, would be nice to go to something like 80km
-
@makoc We will consider it, thank you.
-
@korina Ok, thanks for info. I couldn't find it either. When you get to app for other widgets?
-
@dexxik Hello, what do you mean please? Widgets are also available for Android, but with different functions.
-
@korina I have problem with windy widget with favorite location in iOS. Windy show me tempature only in location but not in entered from application.
-
@dexxik Which widget, the radar one? If you want a favorite location to be displayed both in the app and in the Weather forecast widget, you have to set it as default in Start-up location in Settings.
-
@korina I am sorry but I cannot find the term “startup location” in the iOS app. How can I set my startup location? I noticed that if I disable location service the forecast widget uses the country with no specific location and doesn’t even show any of my 3 favorite locations.
Is it possible to set the FORECAST widget to a specific FAV location? If yes, would you please give me a step by step guide?! Thank you.

@rwahsh
Hope you found where is Settings in the app.
First step, in Settings -
@idefix37 thank you sooo much. I looked several times under settings before I asked for help but this menu item never caught my attention.

@korina
How do you add the wiget if I have an android tablet?? -
@squshy Hi. Android tablets are similar to android phones. Here is a detailed guide how to add them on samsung devices: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-are-widgets-and-how-do-i-add-them-to-my-android-smartphone-or-tablet/ (it is pretty much the same on any device with android OS)
Note that android version of windy has slightly different widgets than iOS version.
-
I know how to add a widget, but I can't find anything related to windy.
-
@squshy Can you please post your device info? Device type, android version and windy version. Thank you.

@marknagy
I didn't buy this tablet, but the model is :AGS2-W09 -
@squshy Hi. Please try the following steps described here: https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/content/en-us00754152/ Search for windy widgets (there is detail, days and radar widget). You should be able to add them to your home screen. Let me know if you need more help :)

@marknagy
I searched, a weather widget appeared (it wasn't there before) I clicked on the widget but still there was nothing related to Windy.
