Widget doesn't update automatically

I see posts about the widget not updating, but they are from 2018. This just started on my phone a few weeks ago. I have a flip3 and the latest Android software.
I have 2 widgets set. One for a set location and the other for my current location.

I'm having the same issue.
Galaxy s21 ultra. One Ui. Android v.12
Location permission is on when in use. There is no option to use location all the time.
As a result, I have to manually refresh the widget to get current forecast.

@korina any update to this issue? Not sure if the OP has the issue fixed or not, but I still can not get the widget to update automatically on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, One UI. Android 12. Windy version 34.3.2, build 2022-01-28, 14:53.

i use ios15.4 windy app is up to dare. I want to use widget, but windy does not support this type of widget. Will it be solved?
