Android 12 Widget Font & Sharpness
-
@nashydn Hello, the transparency of the widget can be edited in the widget settings. Just click on the symbol in the bottom right corner and edit appearance, forecast interval, weather model or font size. What Windy version and phone do you use please?

@korina Hi Korina. It's not the transparency. It's the font colour. Transparency doesn't affect font colour. I've tried that. It's white font, which is ridiculous when you consider the colour coding for low wind speed is also white. It's white font on a white background. There is also something not quite right about the sharpness of the Android 12 widget. The font is blurry. It's not like this with any other app or any other widget on Android 12.
Phone is a Realme GT Neo 2 running Android 12.
App version is 34.3.2Thanks

@nashydn Hello, we will look into this. Do you use dark mode on your phone?
-
@korina Hi Korina. Yes, I use dark mode. When I go into widget settings the graphic is like I'd see on Android 11. It's only after the widget is added to the homescreen that the font changes to white.
Edit. Changing to light mode does indeed change the font to black and also eliminates the blurry appearance of the widget. But I guess we should have that same clarity and font colour in either dark or light mode.

@nashydn Thank you for clarification, we will try to fix this with the next update.
-
@korina Any update here folks?
-
@nashydn Hello, does this issue still persist? We have released a fix back in March.
-
-
@nashydn What version of the app do you have please?
-
@korina hi. It's 35.3.2

Hi guys
We're 7 months in after this bug was reported and still no fix??? Any update on this? It's not really good enough for a premium service.
And yes, I'm on the latest version of the app, 37.1.8 -
@nashydn Hello, this issue only happens on a minority of devices and we will try to fix this in the next release, but the fact that we cannot replicate it makes it harder for us.
-
@Korina I have the exact same problem, and it is also a realme phone that I have.
Like others before me, I don't have the problem on a Xiaomi running Android 11. On the realme on Android 12, however, the problem is EXACTLY as already described in this thread.

@dalega Hello, in January 2023 we will release a new update with a fix for this issue. Please wait for the update and contact us if the issue persists.
