      Hi, how come the pin reported temperature is different in the iPad app vs the website?

            I can’t observe the same discrepancy that you show except with an inconsistent setting. As you compare reported temperatures and forecast temperature there might be small differences mainly because the time stamp is slightly different as shown here:

            But to get the huge discrepancy that you display, there is only this setting which can cause it:

            As you display the weather station records, the altitude setting is not shown on your screenshot. So check it. And it is not because you use 2 different devices and app.

                It seems to be due to the satellite view actually, is that expected?

                  Yes, of course, the altitude slider should not be grayed out, as shown in the previous screenshot. If you select Satellite, the temperature is the brightness temperature of the cloud tops! At a lower zoom level, you would have seen that the wrong layer was selected.

                      I think the bug here is then the altitude shows surface level?

                        No there is no bug, the Satellite view shows the temperature of cloud tops. You can’t adjust it. The altitude slider is not active.
                        Select Infra+ in Satellite view you will get the temperature of cloud tops as a colored layer.
