Radar station at Carvel, AB Canada.

There is a giant empty spot on your radar map where the data from Carvel radar station reports from. It was replaced this last year, but has been up and operating with its new, better radar since February. Most other weather programs have had it up and running since then. Would love to subscribe, but can’t while my home isn’t covered by radar.

Hi Korina,
I have cancelled my subscription to Windy because of this lack of support for Carvel weather radar. Without this support, Windy is nearly useless to me and many others in the Edmonton metro area (including much of northern Alberta, a population of about 2 million people). -
@denniscote We are sorry to hear it. As I mentioned, we do plan to add it, but first we need to find a reliable source.

@korina you will get this data from the same place you get all the other government of Canada weather radar data. They are all operated by the Canadian federal government. You show many other Canadian weather radar sites already. You used to have coverage from Carvel. You removed it. Now you claim it is in the works, but it has been missing for six months. The claim you don’t have a source for the data just shows you haven’t even tried to fix this problem!

@denniscote Hello, as I mentioned, updating the Canadian radars database is in our roadmap for the next development. So far, we have been working on projects with higher priority.

So when can we expect to see support for Carvel radar station? All your replies to date have been extremely non-committal. Can you give us an estimated date, or is it so far off that you have no idea when it will be done?
