3D globe slow
-
3D globe is unusably slow on my Chrome if particle animation is enabled. Disabling particle animation brings up fps from 1-2 to maybe 20-30.
On Safari it worked better (even) with particle animation enabled; fps is at around 30. Obviously the chrome-issue could be related to browser settings or something, as on my other machine I do get 20-30 fps on Chrome with particle animation enabled.
Not sure what all is going on but clearly if there's a setting that causes the 1-2 fps lagginess then that could be documented somwhere or worked around. To me it seems like there is an issue somewhere.
The max fps of 30 could be improved to 60 but for some reason the composite step only happens on every other frame... anyway, would be way smoother and nicer at 60 🤓
Can't think of anything to check in Chrome settings. Hardware acceleration is enabled and everything else functions properly, including some webgl games.
Anyone else have similar issues? Suggestions?
