What is “My Favorites”, and How Do I Use It?

I’m having trouble understanding “My Favorites” in the iOS app and how it works. Can someone explain what it’s for, and how to set it up?

´My favorites’ are locations that you consider as favorite places. You set a Favorite by clicking a location on the map or entering a name in the search bar. Then click the small heart at right of the location name. When you set several Favorites they appear on the map, so you can easily get the detailed forecast by clicking them.

@idefix37, Thanks! I thought it was a place to gather favorite layers and display them at the same time.
