As a retired 60 yr, aviator I consider myself at least a semi-pro. Most all charts used in aviation and for other professional uses have isobar (pressure) lines.

Windy has these as an overlay but they seem to have an annoying habit of disappearing when you change displays, I would use them for almost every different setting if It were possible to use them as a default setting.

There is a pressure chart selection on the main menu with isolines but mostly useless. The real overlays are buried at the bottom of the "more layers" menu. Very inconvenient to access every time they mysteriously disappear. Please make the overlay more accessible or permanent if one wishes. A lot of us will be very grateful.

With gratitude,

It should be on the primary menu right up top where it can be recovered easily if wanted.

It is the only feature I know of that has the characteristic of frequently switching off when a change of background is selected. Those who do not use isolines wouldn't probably care if it were more prominent.

Not being a programmer I don't know how difficult it would be to affect a change. I think many would applaud this.

Thank you for your reply and clarification, James Flint

They disappear when you switch to Satellite and Radar. The reason is probably because these 2 layers are Observation and isobars are Forecast. There is a risk to get a wrong display: If previously you were looking at weather, for instance wind, 4 or 5 days ahead and switch to Satellite or Radar the isobars will be those forecast 4 or 5 days ahead. But that could be overcome in this case by forcing isobars to be shown automatically according to the current time when selecting Satellite or Radar.
I agree that these isolines are really hidden but that could be improved:
