Basic Guide Please -- or is there one?
-
I've been using basic non premium Windy for years and I like the forecast quality for winds -- I'm a sailor. So I pay for premium and this is the most non-intuitive interface I have encountered in the modern era.
Is there a basic ground up user guide?
The FAQs are initimidating full of glider pilots wanting to plan adiabatic thermals in Alaska in 3 days time.I would just like to know stupid things like:
How to get the timeline with windspeeds for a location across the bottom of the screen (like I got in my not paid for view)
How to get a forecast longer than 3 days
What the options are for managing the screen display.
It's not even obvious how to ask dumb questions like this! -
I find you really hard on Windy, especially if you've been using it for so many years!
The FAQ presents simple questions even if sometimes they give rise to discussions. Just ignore these discussion threads.
To answer your very basic questions, click a location on the map then on the amber arrow to get the different meteograms at this location.
Then to see the 10-day forecast swipe the meteogram panel to the left. And may be your question about the screen display management can find some light with this good summary from a Windy user @mhaberler
