Temp in Illinois 79 in Rockford yet Windy shows 71. Same inaccurate temp over entire Midwest area.

@twbrkfd1 Hello, what model are you using? Windy visualizes forecast based on local and global weather models, each model produces a different values. I would recommend to try all the available ones and compare their outputs.

Comparing temp forecast by HRRR model with Reported temp at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport weather station, you can see they match quite well.
Choose the best model for your area.

@korina Comparing to NOAA. I tried display of F and C thinking maybe there is a conversion error when the program convert from C to F. No difference. You can see the temps are way off. 32C at NOAA and 24C in Rockford, Thanks! just want to say that this is a fantastic program. Use it all the time.

@twbrkfd1 Hello, as mentioned above, when I compare the results is measured temperature values, it matches. Please try to compare all the available models for the area such as GFS, ECMWF, ICON, HRRR and NAM.
