<![CDATA[Startup settings]]>I would appreciate the ability to start the application with layer subcategories (wind/gusts) rather than top layer category, ie Wind.

Also have a pre-selected forecast model on startup would be a nice quality of life improvement

The default layer is Wind. If you prefer Wind gusts, go to Settings > Start-up layer and location > Start-up layer > Use last overlay.
You need before to select Wind gusts layer with your preferred model of course.
