Sounding : what is the meaning of hatches (or stripes ?)

Hi,
On the attached sounding, I understand that there will be some clouds between 2200 and 3700 (grey shade on the left).
But what is the meaning of the hatches (or stripes) crossing the sounding from left to right between 2800 and 3600 ?
