    Thermals map : boundary layer or ceiling ?

      Sur la carte des thermiques, le chiffre indiqué est-il celui du plafond ou du sommet de la couche limite ?

      On the thermals map, the number below the city is the ceiling altitude or the boundary layer altitude ?

            Hi, I suggested that you post on this thread to avoid multiplying topics on the same subject.
            If you have read this thread, you should understand that Windy is not willing to give more detail how the thermal layer is computed:

            I have just understood that Thermal layer is the max lift / max climb for gliding and paragliding.

              J'ai trouvé la réponse dans la rubrique information de la carte thermiques. J'ai dans l'idée que le chiffre indiqué est sensiblement optimiste, ce qui suscitait ma question.

              I got an answer by clicking on the information icon of the map. I have the feeling that the number is rather a bit optimistic. That the reason why I asked the question boundary layer altitude versus ceiling altitude.

              Super site en tout cas, plein d'informations !
