Re: Be able to turn radar smoothing off

I started a new thread based on the topic linked above, and was wondering if there were any updates on this? I just discovered this site, and was excited to find all the radar tools. However, like other users mentioned, the smoothing is troublesome. The imagery looks very pretty, but it really degrades fine detail and resolution. From the past replies, it sounds like there is no plan to enable smoothing control, which is a shame. Any radar product with excessive smoothing like this cannot be used for serious purposes.

@idefix37 Ah, good to hear, thanks! I just discovered the site, and like it a lot so far. Good weather sites seem hard to find.

One other quick thing: is there an option to show storm track with the lines and tick marks that predict where they will be in 15, 30, 45, etc minutes?

If you talk about any types of storms, for example thunderstorms there is not such a feature. But for tropical cyclones, hurricanes, there is the Hurricane tracker in the menu.
