Wind map and arrow discrepancy

Hi All.
I’ve been using the planning feature of windy for sailing for some years now.
Though a pretty cool tool, I noticed something I don’t understand.
The wind direction on the animated map does not correspond with the arrows in the wind dir. pane below. Same for waves on the map and in the below pane. The arrows in the pane do point very purposefully in a direction and even change over time. Except, I can make no sense of it in relation to the actual animated map.

Am I missing something?

Yes, you probably never checked More option in the bottom left corner of your screen to set the wind direction reference to North up.
I am sure it is set to Left to right.
