That is a big disconnect since the winds are manifestation of the pressures.</p>
<p dir="auto">Am I reading this wrong?  Maybe the isobars should be suppressed when displaying winds at altitude since they are very misleading.</p>

Yes, that selection is buried very deep.  As an aviator, I suggest to any developer reading this, that when winds at altitude are selected, the "pressure" toggle should just change to Geop. Height, and then of course back to "pressure" when viewing weather at the surface.</p>

Yes, Isobars shows the pressure gradients at sea level and they drive the wind at this level.<br />
At higher levels you have to switch to Geopotential heights isolines (isohypses). The winds at higher levels are driven by these isolines.<br />
These isolines are a bit hidden in Windy (too much for me). You have to click <em>More layers…</em> in right menu and then scroll down at bottom of the long list of layers you find <em>Geop. height</em>.<br />
In Windy they are expressed in meters (but more generally in decameters or dam in other weather maps)</p>
