arome in ibiza today 13.08.22 is wrong. reported 5kts in real is 25kts

This season this is the second time happening. It is not safe to use the arome anymore. On the first one wind changed the direction 180 degrees and wind speed was 25 knots (not the gust) instead of 5kts reported. I will not use it anymore. As per today also in ibiza porroig it was reported 5kts but the wind speed was 28kts.

AROME does not report wind speed but does forecast.
I see the airport weather station was reporting 16kt gusting at 25kt this morning and prediction from AROME was 16kt too at same time, same location.
When you say that the wind was 25kt at a distance of 7km from the airport weather station we believe you.
But if AROME is so bad, which model will you use in future? None in Windy was predicting 25kt. -
@idefix37 so what is the digit when you choose: wind and the model of arome in kts? (or icon or ecmwf whatever? I see wind speed i believe. If the arome is in 1.3km resolution they need to report also properly for the distances of 7km? Or dont mention 1.3k resolution? I believe they are in 10km resolution similiar or alternative to icon7.

When you select Wind layer and one of the available model, you get a forecast equivalent to the AVERAGED WIND SPEED OVER 10 minutes. If you want to get the prediction for maximum instant wind (over 3 seconds max) you need to select Wind gusts layer.
How have you measured the wind speed over 10 minutes?
Concerning the resolution of AROME it is not a decision from Windy ! 1.3km is really the resolution of the model version shown in Windy. -
@idefix37 arome is already a nice one but as alternative source should be implemented i believe to system. maybe 2 or 3km resolution one? if you stick to arome and arome is wrong then what? as i said in this season i have seen twice the wrong info. (BTW; i am over 28 years on the sea coming from commercial background not a 3 months yachtie so we can understand each other)

OK Capt’n, so you know perfectly the difference between wind gusts and the mean wind. I clarified this difference because many people are confusing these 2 parameters.
Yes, an alternative to AROME would be needed in the Mediterranean region. Windy uses the ICON-D2 model with a 2km resolution. But the domain of this model does not include Ibiza unfortunately. -
@idefix37 is there any implementation date planned for icond2? i want to check how and which software i can use that model or another alternative to arome around ibiza.
