This has been a bug for a long time, but with the new update that allows satellite to go down to -90C, the problem's gotten even worse.

For example: A spot where it's -37C is green, but according to the custom scale, it should be blue.

Also if you try to use -91C in customizing the color scale, then reload, it goes back to -81C. I can only assume this is because the code thing isn't properly ready for anything below -81C.

Your customized color scale is weird. The steps seem to be made for a non smoothed color scale but the rgb codes are not correctly staggered.
If you want a discrete scale they must be like that:

I suggest that you click on Load defaults

And then reimport your code in the right way.

So the scale has to be consistent from start to finish? That's kind of disappointing. Why doesn't windy just follow the imputed values rather than forcing a consistent step? Many color tables (especially radar reflectivity) don't use a constant step scale. See a few of my custom color tables here. I'd also love to see the ability to create non-smoothed color tables.

Where do you see that Windy is forcing a consistent scale with a constant color step ? Or it is because of my scheme. It is purely theoretical, you are not forced to use a constant step scale !

@idefix37 I was under the impression that if it wasn't a constant color step, the data wouldn't display properly. My apologies for the misinterpretation.

I was just showing a workaround how to make a non smoothed (discrete) color scale.
