Suggestion: Current location based weather alerts

A good possibility to at least reduce the risk of being surprised by extreme weather events (like the storms over Europe yesterday) would be to add weather alerts to the current location, instead of only for favourite ones.
This way it would be easier to avoid extreme weather events (potentially saving lives) while, for example, on holidays or during traveling in general. -
