Switch off all sounds in app

Podcasts stop when I open weather radar on Ipad and Iphone vibrates when thunder is around on radar. The little offswitch for sound does not work for vibration. Please add an option to switch off all thunder sounds and vibration in settings. While it is fun to hear and feel the thunder, it adds no extra information in the end.
