Can't see name or info on Paragliding spots in the app or using mobile browsers
-
When you go to windy.com on a desktop browser, you can hover the mouse over the paragliding spots and a little info bubble pops up showing details that come from paragliding earth.
None of that is possible using the app, or a mobile browser. In the past, we used to be able to, if we had a phone with a pen, hover the pen over the paragliding spot and get the same info as if one hovered one's Mouse over the paragliding spot. However that has not worked for at least 2 years. The app needs to have some kind of functionality where you can select a paragliding spot on the map and see the same info that's available on the desktop browser.

@stevecrye Hello, this is correct; you cannot hover over the paragliding spot in the app and view the information. It was previously possible, but it was a bug.

@Korina Ok.. this response does not make sense. You're telling me that a great element of functionality was a bug, and now you've removed that bug, and we no longer have that functionality? I can't really believe that's what you're saying.
The latest version of the Android app features a beautiful photo of a paraglider. Clearly PG pilots are valued user group. We do not carry laptops around with us while on flycations, we use the app on our phones. To show icons on the map that are PG spots with no means of identifying them is bizarre and frustrating.
Can you please clarify what you mean. Also please advise when you're going to fix the problem so that we can see the info using the app.

@stevecrye Hello, I understand what you are saying. From our and technical point of view, it was a bug (on mobile devices). The hover info won't be available in the future. But we could think about other solutions to display more details for each paragliding spot.

Had there been any development with this?

@dylanv24 this feature is still unavailable in our mobile apps, and there are no plans for implementation at the moment.
