      Hello!
      I am currently observing a thunderstorm in my area. The sattelite image shows a temperature of minus 57 degrees, which correlates with an altitude of about nearly 40 000 ft. On the map showing the cloud elevation it only shows an elevation of about 10,000ft. Is there a plausible explanation for that? Also, the CAPE Index shows nearly 0 Joule.
      Thank you for your reply

        @Jörg-e
        This is probably because Satellite is observation and Cloud tops are forecast.

          @Jörg-e Also, this means that the weather model you had used it is not accurate.
