Version 37.1.9 launched an anticipated feature in the form of a 1-hour forecast for all three widget types for even more in-depth weather data right on your home screen.

And that is not all! The update also brings new settings options for appearance and location.

Dark and Light mode

Do you use dark or light mode and wish to match Windy widgets with the set theme, or want to improve the viewing experience in low-light environments?

All forecast Windy widgets (including Premium widgets) are now available with 2 appearance options. To change the appearance, simply long press the widget to access settings and choose the predefined theme - Light, Dark or Auto.

Widget location

Widgets newly get location from your current position only, which means the custom position in the app's settings is not considered.

Instead, you can change the location for each widget in the widget's settings, allowing you to have as many widgets as you want for places you care about.

To add the Windy widget to your Home Screen

• Make sure you’ve updated to the latest version of Windy.

• Touch and hold a widget or an empty area on the device's home screen until the apps jiggle

• Tap the Add button (+) in the upper-left corner

• Tap on Windy to open the widgets selection

• Select widget, and tap (+) Add Widget to confirm
