Thanks for your reply, Sailor. Your last line in your reply says it all. No can do.

I shoved the unwanted links (the places in the search box that have not been selected as favorites. I solved the problem by re-doing all my preferred links (locations) in the search box and designating them as favorites thus shoving the unwanted ones down the list out of sight.

I wish there was a simple way to eliminate any temporary item in the search box that is not needed anymore, favorite or not.

Hi, Capt’n,

I am not sure to clearly understand what you mean with " but I want to eliminate the entire link ".
By clicking the small heart you delete a favorite from your list of favorites. You can do the same by clicking the small trash next to each favorite in your favorites list.
So, what is left are the searched locations below the search bar.
Is it this list of location names that you want to eliminate?
Unfortunately this is not possible, there are progressively replaced by new searched location names.

Good flights

Hi, Sailor,

There was a post a while back that said just un-click on the heart icon to eliminate the favorite That worked but I want to eliminate the entire link. After a while they bury my favorites way down in the stack where they are not accessible necessitating retyping the name of the link. I would prefer to have only a few links on the screen. Am I missing something?

Thanks, Jim Flint - washed up fighter pilot and 747 Capt. and lifelong WX geek
