Best layer to visualize smoke?

What is the best layer to visualize and forecast wildfire smoke?
In meteoblue I find PM10 to be a fairly good indication of what to expect. CAQI is another good indicator. Windy has "Aerosol", how does it compare to mblue PM10?

In Windy there are 4 layers which are useful for fire / smoke detection and forecast:- Fire intensity
- PM2.5
- Aerosol
- CO concentration
