Hurricane Fiona barrels towards Atlantic Canada

Hurricane Fiona is heading towards Atlantic Canada as a category 4 hurricane and maximum sustained winds of 209km/h.
Hurricane-force conditions are expected tonight and Saturday with high winds and storm surges. A tropical storm warning is in effect for most parts of Atlantic Canada.
Threats
Large swells generated by Fiona can be expected along the east coast of the United States, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Atlantic Canada, causing life-threatening surf and rip currents.

Hurricane Warning has been issued for Bermuda as the storm is going to pass near the island tonight through Friday morning, bringing hurricane conditions to the area.
Fiona is maintaining Category 4 hurricane status with a maximum sustained 209 km/h.
The hurricane will start affecting Atlantic Canada from Friday evening through Saturday. Impacts from the system are likely to be high winds and heavy rainfall.
The east coast of the United States, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Atlantic Canada will be affected by life-threatening flooding and rip currents.

Fiona upgraded to major hurricane Category 4 and is currently moving north of Turks and Caicos Islands. It will continue to impact the islands with heavy rainfall tonight with a flooding threat.
Bermuda will experience tropical storm conditions on Thursday, as the storm nears the island while maintaining the category 4 strength.
Towards the end of the week, Fiona is expected to arrive in Atlantic Canada by later Friday and Saturday, bringing severe conditions such as strong wind, high waves, and storm surges.

Hurricane Fiona became a major severe weather storm on Tuesday morning, reaching Category 2 hurricane status with maximum winds of 110 mph (176 km/h).
The hurricane brought destructive force to Puerto Rico early Monday, leaving more than 1 million people without running water and destroyed homes.
Heavy rains produced by Fiona will continue in Puerto Rico and parts of the Dominican Republic through tonight causing mudslides and life-threatening flooding.
Fiona can reach Category 4 status
The center of the hurricane moved away from the Dominican Republic (however severe conditions still prevail) and is now passing near the Turks and Caicos Islands, heading north. Hurricane conditions are expected over the southeastern Bahamas on early Tuesday.
Fiona is predicted to further strengthen, possibly reaching Category 4 hurricane status, and pass near or to the west of Bermuda on Thursday night.
