      Typhoon Noru is making landfall in Vietnam and battering the coasts of the Hoi An and Tam Ky with very strong winds and extreme rainfall. The storm has category 2 status with maximum sustained winds of 177 km/h.

      Damaging winds and severe conditions will prevail today through Wednesday morning. Strong rainfall may cause possible flash flooding.

      Typhoon Noru (KardingPH) is currently aiming at the central region of Vietnam as a major typhoon category 4. Vietnam has already evacuated 800 000 people and imposed a curfew ahead of the storm. Flights have been canceled at five regional airports as well as train service until the typhoon passes.

      The curfew will be in effect from Tuesday evening in the provinces Da Nang and Quang Nam, forbidding people from venturing out except those on official duty.

      Noru is packing maximum sustained winds 233 kilometers per hour and it will hit Vietnam in the next 24 hours. The region should prepare for heavy rainfall causing mudslides and flooding.

      Super Typhoon Noru is heading for its second landfall in the northern part of π—€π˜‚π—²π˜‡π—Όπ—» as a CATEGORY 4 storm. The Philippines is currently in process of evacuating the coastal areas.

      Noru has already made the first landfall in Burdeos municipality on the Polillo islands earlier today with maximum winds of 241 km/h.

      Typhoon Noru (locally Karding), which has rapidly intensified in the last several hours east of the Philippines, is on its way to make landfall just north of Manila, PH as an extremely powerful storm Category 5.

      The maximum sustainable winds intensified from 138km/h to 249km per hour, it is an unexpected and explosive strengthening.

      Noru is expected to hit Central Luzon, including Metro Manila, with torrential rainfall and fierce winds on Sunday, September 25. Typhoon Noru will bring extreme tropical conditions with a threat of flooding and landslides.

      Emergency preparations are in effect as the typhoon is just a few hours away from landfall.
