      Hi,
Is there a weather routing function for sailing yachts, and if there is how do I access it? Thanks

@sjfk Hello, what do you exactly mean by "weather routing"?

There is a feature available on windy.com, on browser version, not in the mobile app.
Right click on your mouse enable to select Distance & planning and to access to the Route planner feature.

Route planner shows the predicted weather along the Route that you plot with way points.
But Route planner does not plot the optimised route according to the weather forecast. There are some apps doing that, not Windy.

@sjfk hi, you select the point of departure and your destination. Then the app will calculate the best route to take allowing for wind direction, sea state and currents. You end up with an optimised line to follow.

@idefix37 thank you. That’s a shame as a function that optimises the route would be really useful. Apps such as Predict Wind do this.
