Difference between cold front and border of high/low pressure
-
I see that I do not understand the difference between cold front and border between high and low pressure, which is normally on 1013 hPa or geopotential high. Last week we had in Slovenia rain in high pressure area, because cold front was crossing. So cold front in high pressure area and high geopotential high. Is there any book or something similar, where I can study this?

In English, you can read the book from Roland Stull, practical meteorology. Remember that a front is the border (sharp or not) between two air massa. Depending if the air after is colder or hotter, the front is cold or warm -
That is the trouble, why I will need to read a book. Because I told that pressure is connected with temperature, but how I see it's not true. I will try this book. Thanks.
