I hope to have a scale for distance and compsss in map. That would be great for outdoor activity.

To measure distances, with a long press on your mobile device screen you get the Distance & planning feature:
Windy does not include a compass, the top of the map is the north direction. Your phone is probably equipped with a compass.

This is why passing manual land navigation tests with a compass and map is still required for officers, whether at West Point, OCS or ROTC.
That's not to say that they all actually pass it though...

You are talking about land manual navigation with paper map and compass which I did many years ago. This has nothing to do with Windy which is a weather app, not a navigation app.

By long-pressing on the mobile screen, users can access the Distance & Planning feature. Additionally, Windy uses the top of the map as the north direction, and most smartphones are equipped with a compass for navigation. You can suggest that users utilize this in combination with Windy for outdoor activities. Click here

Instead of repeating my 2 years-old post you should check what you say. This feature is no longer available by long-pressing on screen !
