Feature request: one-finger zoom in and out
-
Using Google maps as example, double-tapping screen with one finger zooms in automatically (as does Windy)... Unless you hold the second tap and drag, then zoom in and out occurs... Drag up for out and down for in. Can be much more handy than two-finger zooming if only one hand is free

Yes please!
I love windy! Have been using premium for a number of months now. The one thing I noticed almost immediately in the iOS app is I can't zoom out one handed (the standard double tap, then drag up/down, zoom-out/zoom-in). It is still the only real gripe I have encountered with the app.
Anyway this small annoyance has led me to discover this forum. From my small search this post would be the third request, so I won't create another post...
Request #1
Request #2
Request #3 - this post
Request #4 - this reply :)Anyone else?

@ByronSurvey
Seems this has been requested a few times. Me too! -
@jamesishoward Hi, it is already possible in our Radar+ layer now and we work on further implementation in other layers as well.
-
@Suty WOW! Thank you so much! I just stumbled across this answer accidentally. I hadn't noticed that this is already available on Radar+.
-
@Suty the double tap to zoom is not currently working very well on Radar+. When I do so it interprets the double tap as a move and re-center, then the screen does not zoom.
I am surprised that the double tap to zoom is implemented per-layer and not implemented on the map object.

@Erik-VanderWerf This actually happens to me part of the time as well. I think it has to do with accidentally hitting a place name on the map, in which case the first tap is probably interpreted as a "go to" command. Still, it's a great start, and I'm sure this can be worked out.

@Erik-VanderWerf We use different visualization technology in Radar+ than in the rest of our layers. However, this year, we will merge this and it should be available in all our layers.
